The Palace Theater is located in central Connecticut, approx. 2 hours’ drive from NYC.
It is only a couple of blocks from the Courtyard Marriott in Waterbury, and national parks and scenic hikes / orchards are located about 20 minutes away.

TRANSPORTATION
BY BUS:
(approx. 2 hrs 10 min from NYC)
The Peter Pan Bus quite helpfully goes directly from Port Authority, NYC to Waterbury, CT,
just steps from the Courtyard Marriott and the Palace Theater!
Buses tend to run from NYC once every 2 hours or so (generally estimating a journey of 2 hours and 10 minutes).
The Sunday ones wonderfully leave NYC at 11:45 AM (getting in at 1:55 PM) and 2:00 PM (getting in at 4:10 PM).
For the return trip, they leave Waterbury starting very early on Monday morning,
with offerings at 5:45 AM, 6:45 AM, 8:10 AM, 10:10 AM, and 12:45 PM.

BY CAR:
(approx. 1hr45min - 2hrs from NYC, or 35-45 min from Hartford)
We generally recommend the I-84 route from NYC or Hartford;
or you can take I-95 from NYC, and then go up CT-8.
Parking
The Scovill Street Parking Garage is located directly behind the Palace Theater on 33 Scovill Street in Waterbury. Access to the Palace’s entrance on East Main Street is clearly marked upon exiting the garage through the Waterbury Arts Magnet School Courtyard. There is also street parking, and an outdoor parking lot across the street.
Traveling I-84 East (from NYC)
Take the Baldwin Street/Downtown Waterbury exit - Exit 22. At second light, turn left onto South Main Street. Proceed straight after the first traffic light and turn right onto Scovill Street.
The entrance to the Scovill Street parking garage will be on your left.
Traveling I-84 West (from Hartford)
Take the Union Street exit - Exit 22 - toward Downtown Waterbury. Turn left onto Union Street and then take the second right onto South Elm Street. At the first traffic light, turn left onto Scovill Street.
The entrance to the Scovill Street parking garage will be on your right.

BY TRAIN:

Metro-North Train from Grand Central Terminal, NYC
Take the train headed to New Haven but change trains at Bridgeport, ending at Waterbury.
The Waterbury train station is a 4 minute drive (or 12 minute walk) from the Palace Theater.
